Prayers of the Faithful

Dear Lord,
We pray for our world. We pray that all the hungry get food and water to drink. Lord hear us.

Dear Lord,
We pray for Pope Francis, Bishop Steve, Father Danny and all that live in your world. Lord hear us.

Dear Lord,
We pray for the people in our community who have died and are now in heaven, especially Olivia's dad. May they rest in peace. Lord hear us.

Dear Lord,
We pray for all the people in our parish who are sick. May they get well soon. Lord hear us.

Dear Lord,
We pray for our school. We pray that all the children can follow Jesus. Lord hear us.

They love the knight life

“Will King Arthur ever escape from these guards?” the narrator thought. As he waited to be rescued, the St Paul's rugby team came to cheer him up.
Today was Wednesday. It was the big day and we had been practising for our 2016 St Paul’s Catholic School's production.

The curtains opened like walking invisible potatoes. In the Rainbow Reading Room, it was as cold as ice. The audience were waiting as quiet as a mouse. Ten minutes came speeding away and it was time for our part. The boys came up like wild rushing bulls. Michael, Brandon, Flynn, Jaxon, Noah and I were rushing up the stairs fiercely. The school's costumes were shivering like golden nugget rings.
“I got this feeling inside my bones,” the absolutely lovely song said.
As the girls were doing their fancy somersaults and cartwheels, the boys were moving and grooving to the beat like dancing frogs. The spotlight shone on us like the planet Mars.
As soon as the dance and the Mooloo song was finished, the stunning king asked, “I really liked that song, Can I please have the Ipod?”
Ella gave him the ipod and the grooming King Arthur replied, “Thank you.”
Ella, the shimmering golden girl, replied back ,“You're welcome.”
I liked the production for our part and everybody's part. My favourite part was Room 1 and 2’s part. That was the funniest part. My second favourite part was Room 4’s because I liked the boys and girls dancing because the audience clapped after we did our dance.

The Name Mystery Creek

Did you know in the 1990's there was a solider that was also a farmer. The soldier was in the army as well. Other farmers knocked on his door, then one day there was another knock on the door, so he walked to the door, opened the door and then, when he opened the door, he saw that there were two robbers at the door. One had a knife and the other one had a sack in his hand.
The first robber had cut a mattress open and had found 18 golden tokens that the solider had hidden in the mattress. He never told anybody about this when he put them under there.
The second robber got the sack and said to the other robber, "Let's get out of here."
The robbers didn't get away. The  two naughty robbers didn't notice that the farmer was a soldier. The soldier forgot he had his gun, so he got the gun and the first robber dropped the sack and they had a little fight. He loaded the gun and was trying to get the robber, then, suddenly, bang! Instead of the gun shot into the robber, it shot the soldier in the arm. The robbers got away but he didn't care.
After the robber shot him in the arm, he had to put a lot of pressure on it so it wouldn't lose so much blood. He walked all the way to the doctors and the doctor said, "Sorry, you'll have to go to the hospital."
He walked and walked and walked to the hospital. As soon as he got there, they had to cut his arm off.
After a couple of weeks, he was now a farmer with one arm. It got its name because the robbers had gone forever and the 18 golden tokens too.

In the Holidays

Crash! As the waves splashed onto the hot sand I was playing with my brother and sisters on the steaming sand.
In the hot holidays, I went to my grandparent’s house.Dad drove us to the big sandy beach with my sisters, my brother and I.
When we dashed to the big sandy beach, Dad was thinking, “Where should we go?” Dad had an idea. “Let's go to the big waves over there!” he said,so we scrambled across the sore rocks to the big waves. “Yay we finally got to the big waves!” I shouted. We were watching the big waves while we were sitting on the sore rocks.  “We're ready to go!” Dad said to all of us, so we went back to my grandparent’s house and had a shower.
